ECL was the pioneer in introducing novel concepts of Futuristic Learning Environments to Sri Lankan Universities by its landmark project “NSBM Green University”, which has been highly commended by academic and professional communities, both local and international. NSBM Green University has set a benchmark for the Education Infrastructure in Sri Lanka. NSBM Green University Building complex consists of three faculties for Business Management, Information Technology and Engineering, situated in a twenty six acres site in Pitipana, Homagama. The development consists of buildings for the three faculties, main Library, auditorium, residential facilities for five hundred male and female students and the staff and recreational facilities (Playground, swimming pool and Indoor stadium, Gym etc). Both internal & external facilities are unified to the detailed design enhancing the exclusive architecture.

NSBM Green University is certified as a Green Building Complex – Singapore Green Mark Certification, Gold Rating and it is the first green certified University in South East Asia.

ECL handled the full spectrum of Consultancy Services including Designing, Preparation of BOQs, Specifications & Tender Documentation, Tendering, Project Management, Construction Supervision and Contract Administration including implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures, assessing contractor’s quality plan, construction safety plans, environmental management plans, scheduling & progress monitoring, progress reporting, financial control comprising reviewing and evaluating contractor’s payment requests, preparation of variation orders and extra work orders, assisting Client to resolve claims and disputes, prepare final accounts, prepare progress payment and final payment certificate, facility testing and commissioning, prepare O&M manuals.
