Description of the Project: Assignment to facilitate Central and Provincial Irrigation Departments in investigation, design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the components of 3 major irrigation schemes.
Scope of Work: Carry out periodic visits to the two irrigation schemes, evaluate existing features of dam and appurtenant structures and recommend remedial measures to prevent the scheme in potential loss and guide the Project Management Unit and the respective irrigation departments in the design and implementation of dam safety measures, review the standing orders and operation and maintenance plan developed for all major irrigation schemes and assist to develop new plans where such operation and maintenance plans are not available.
