Description of the Project: The project was to reconstruct 131 kilometers of cement concrete surfaced highway sections of A-380 (Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Dautata) in the Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan border, and strengthens road sector institutions and road network management capacity. The main route between the northwest and southeast of Uzbekistan, A-380 highway serves as an important international corridor between Afghanistan (via Termez), Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation.
Scope of Work:
  • Reviewing and updating of designs.
  • Supervision of setting out of construction work.
  • Assessing quality of construction materials and work.
  • Construction supervision and contract management.
  • Verification of contractor’s claims, invoices and recommendation for payments.
