Description of the Project: Feasibility study, preliminary design, procurement, and construction supervision of the Arugam Bay bridge including approach roads, comprising a 160 m composite steel bridge and a 25 m secondary composite steel bridge
Scope of Work:
  • Carried out the feasibility study, supervised geotechnical investigations and topographical surveys and a detailed hydrological study of the area
  • Assisted in developing a design criteria for the main and secondary bridges and road works
  • Prepared conceptual and detail designs, estimates, contract drawings for secondary bridge and road works and tender documents for ICB tendering › Assisted in ensuring the 160 m bridge detail designs are in conformity with the Road Development Authority standards & regulations
  • Carried out construction supervision and management of the project
  • Carried out handing over and supervision of defects rectification
